The free-form pool is the very essence of a made-to-measure pool. As well as being beautiful, with its curved lines and rounded corners, the free-form pool is extremely versatile. It will easily adapt to your garden, whether you have a straightforward or a steeply sloping plot. Multi-zone, it will delight adults and children alike, making it a good choice for a family pool.

A personalised pool: what are the advantages?

To choose a free-form pool is to choose an entirely personalised pool – one that suits your tastes, requirements and budget. Unlike a rectangular pool, the free-form pool can be arranged according to your needs to create a pool that suits you.

Lots of options are available to you. Add integrated steps and enjoy the comfort of a relaxing spa space while retaining the original shape of your pool. Choose external steps and position them where you like. The children will have plenty of space to play without splashing you while you sit comfortably enjoying the sunset.

Thanks to thousands of possible configurations, these pool shapes will easily adapt to any type of terrain. Do you want to retain a tree in your garden or fit the pool around a corner of your house? The free-form pool allows you to circumvent all obstacles.
And – the cherry on the cake – the curved lines will improve the water circulation in your pool, which will facilitate maintenance.

How to build a free-form pool

There are different construction methods for building a free-form pool:

  • Free-form concrete pool
  • Free-form shell pool
  • Free-form steel pool

Each construction method has its advantages. However, Waterair’s modular steel panels are an ideal solution for creating a pool simply and economically. This technology makes it possible for you to build your own pool easily and in just a few days. You will thus be able to save considerably on labour costs.

Covering a free-form pool: what are the options?

Waterair Swimming Pools are designed to be covered easily, and all pools in the range are compatible with the different types of cover:

Thermal bubble cover

This type of cover captures the sun’s rays, heats your pool water free of charge so that you can enjoy your pool for longer (in the summer, you can gain up to 4°) and protects it from pollutants.

Cover with bars

Rectangular or adapted to the shape of your pool, it fits over your pool and protects it from bad weather, insulates it to retain the water temperature and reduces evaporation.

The enclosure

It adapts perfectly to all pool shapes and has many advantages: it retains the water temperature, which allows you to enjoy the pool for longer in the year; it provides a safety barrier; it looks good and it facilitates maintenance.

The multi-purpose Solae Waterair® cover

This contemporary-design cover is the all-in-one solution for protecting your pool. It heats and secures your pool and allows you to overwinter it thanks to an ingenious system of interchangeable transparent and opaque panels. Like an enclosure, it easily covers pools of all shapes.

Whatever its shape, you can enjoy a covered, heated and safe pool.

Our pool consultants can advise you on the design of your pool. They are at your service and will visit you at home to help you design the pool of your dreams with a free and personalised feasibility study.
